The Tellington TTouch Method TT.E.A.M ©
Kind hands for a deep bond and a balanced well-being!
We do a great deal of work with dogs, cats, horses and other animals, but because we work in this gentle, respectful way, we learn by working with the animals to treat our own fellow beings with understanding, tolerance, forgiveness, compassion and gratitude, which are keystones in the Tellington TTouch.
For everyone who is nervous or anxious, you can teach what we call the Heart Hug, moving the skin gently through the clothes one circle and a quarter, and it moves them from a place of fear and stress to a sense of well-being. We’ve also taught them how to do circles around their mouths to relieve their fears or anxieties about testing. The mouth is a direct connection to our limbic system, which controls our emotions.
The gentle circular Tellington TTouches releases oxytocin, the “trust” hormone, and communication and function, releasing fear at healing. This may explain why animals gain TTouch gives humans, dogs, horses and improved health and well-being with TTouch of their bodies, bringing new physical, mental it creates a shift from control of the (fight/flight/freeze/faint/fool around) which allows a dog to think rather than react.
New research demonstrates that light touch also releases oxytocin, the “trust” hormone, and enhances healing. This may explain why animals gain trust and improved health and well-being with TTouch.
Linda Tellington-Jones was born on a farm in Canada and raised within nature. She could rather ride a horse than walk and she was supposed to have a career with horses. With her first husband she ran a farm for horse training in the USA, she wrote a book about physiotherapy for horses and in the seventies she attended a four year apprenticeship in the Feldenkrais methodat Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais™. With this intensive body action, which is based on the streng thening of the physical abilities and the improvement of the human learning ability, her immense knowledge about horses and her deep understanding of all creatures in the world, she developed the TTEAM-Method in the late seventies. This method consists of the TTouch, the basement work and the philosophy of the comprehensive learning.
It consists of different obstacles on the basement, e.g.: the maze, the seesaw, tires, plastic foil and slalom obstacles. Dogs and horses work successfully with this method. The aim of the basement work is, to make animal and human work together and show them, how few signals and which are necessary to notify each other of the actions. In addition there are certain positions of conduction for human and animal. The attention of the animal is equally trained and a lot of problems between human and animal can be solved, problems between dogs, pulling on the lead, lifting of the hove at horses, riding problems, fear of being loaded on trailers and concentration problems.
The TTouch consists of a circle of a rotation of one and a quarter in clockwise direction. The TTouch is performed with the fingers or the full hand on the skin. It is not a massage! The TTouch mobilises the function of the cells and nerve tracts and helps them to regain balance and conveys a new body feeling. There are more than 20 different TTouches and not all of them consist of the circle, but all of them have the aim, to give the cells new information and the opportunity of recovery and of well-being. With the TTouch, Linda gave us a precious present, a present for all creatures.
I practice JSJ since 1998.
The philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu
for HUMANS and ANIMALS
This is a very old art of harmonisation of the vitality in the body. Originated by inner wisdom and passed on by word of mouth from one generation to the following, this art almost fell into oblivion. At the beginning of the 20th century it was revitalised by master Jiro Murai from Japan. After being healed from a life-threatening disease, Jiro Murai devoted the rest of his life to the investigation and development of JSJ. The deeper insight and the perception he got from the study of different sources (e.g. Kojiki, book of the old things) and personal experience, he put across to Mary Burmeister, who brought JSJ into the USA in the fifties. At the beginning of the sixties, Mary Burmeister started to teach this art and nowadays thousands of people all over the world study and practise JSJ. The acquisition of JSJ leads us to self-study and self-help. During this process we learn how to become aware of the wisdom of our body, learn to understand the message and to regain our balance.
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be used as a self-help or by a trained practitioner. One meeting of JSJ lasts approximately one hour. There is no massage, manipulation of muscles or use of medicine or other substances. It is a gentle kind of art which is performed via fingertips (on the clothes). The fingertips are placed on the so called safety-locks in order to harmonise the flow of energy. This reduces stress and tensions, which come up in our daily lives. The art of JSJ is for all of those, humans and animals a like, who suffer from stress and health disorders and those, who would like to maintain their health, harmony and well-being actively. The art of JSJ is easy and powerful and in easy reach for everybody.
Jin Shin Jyutsu brings balance into the energetic system of our bodies and stimulates our health and well-being. Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art of life and strengthens the inner self-healing process. It is a valuable and significant amendment to traditional healing methods because it provokes a deep relaxation and reduces the effects of stress. JSJ works with 26 so called safety-locks within the energy flow which brings life into the body. In case one or more of these energetic lines are blocked, the result is a stagnation of the flow of energy into the respective zone and an energetic disorder. To hold a combination of safety-locks can rebalance you emotionally, physically and spiritually.
