Day 6 ended very calmly, as Lewis had two great walks
Day 7 was another day full of wonders!
I took him for a relaxed walk this morning for about 45 minutes! He was so relaxed that he could sniff, shake himself, and even just stop and look around.
In the afternoon, my husband took him for a walk on his own, and they had an encounter with a car on our very narrow street! Lewis was a little nervous at first, but my husband was able to gently guide him into the tall grass, where he made himself small. After that, it was no problem to simply walk further with him.
That evening, he had to go back to his old foster home. After we arrived there, he calmly jumped out of the car on the leash, did his business, and just walked into the house with me. He now has a cage in the living room, instead of the kennel in the garden. He simply walked past the daughter’s once-intimidating wheelchair into his crate.
Day 8: This morning, he was able to play with the other dogs on the long leash, do his business, and then, he simply went back into the living room and into his crate.
Conclusion:
This dog is great!
I’ve known him for a year now!
He was never aggressive, but he didn’t want to be touched, didn’t know the inside of a house, didn’t have a soft bed (nice fresh straw in a warm shed), a collar, or a leash!
And now we’re ready to find a FOREVER HOME for him!
I’m asking for your help me to do this!
HeartHug to all of you!!
